  1. From the Polamalu Brown’s family!

  2. Tena koe, My father Tunu Ray Polamalu was born 14 August 1896 and died 22 February 1982 at Rotorua New Zealand, and is buried in the family Urupa at Te Ngae Junction Rotorua. He had another sister besides Uanona her name was Valelia and dad told me she was taken by his Aunt to be her own daughter. I don’t know the name of the Aunt. You are correct he married my mother Te Rangikaheke on 7 August 1932 and they had 10 children all born in New Zealand, of which 3 have passed away. I am the seventh aged 70 years of age.

    • My name is Elva and I am the granddaughter of Uanona your father’s sister. My father is her son Faiga. I remember your father when I was just a young girl as he used to visit my grandmother when she visited from Samoa. I also vaigly remember my dad taking me to visit your family. It was nice to read your comments. I would love to make contact with you for our family tree. Of all Uanona’s children, Aunty Feloai (Faye) is the only one living.

  3. Hi Elva, I appreciate you making contact, it is so good to hear from family from whom we haven’t heard from in years. I remember your father clearly and also cousin Lini, who lived with us for a time when he first came to New Zealand. So sad to hear that they have both passed away. All our family often talk about about them and wonder how they are. I remember when Faiga went to San Fransisco and also when Lini went to Hawaii. If you contact me by email we can exchange adresses for the family tree. My email address is tuipol@actrix.co.nz.

  4. Hi there, my name is Caroline Fotualii (nee Sola). My father was Sola Isaako Sola, Tiavea. His mother was Afatasi Sola a descendant of Alexander Brown. I am hoping that anyone who reads this may have any information at all that would show the linkage.

  6. Hello everybody, greetings from the To’os. I am Albert M. To’o, Elva’s cousin…our fathers are brothers. I miss grandma Uanona and fond memories of her taking care of us growing up in Samoa. This information is great giving me the opportunity to study my roots all the way back to the king himself, 3X grandfather Tui Manu’a Alexander Brown. Interestingly enough, I found out for the first time that I also have Maori relatives. Lets keep this up so feel free to send an email at atoo@imperialrange.com.

  10. Talofa Family. My Name is Anthony Sofe from Melbourne Australia.

I am a descendant of Malaia Brown.

I dont know if you have seen the other gafa for our family in https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LZXM-4SN/malaia-tuimanu%27a-1857

It says there 13 Children. Or is this link getting different info?

  11. Hi everyone.. I am Joseph Patterson and I am a descendant of Salageta who is the oldest daughter of Alex Brown. Papa Alex was married to a daughter of the Tuimanua and he had 2 boys and one girl. John, James and Margaret who was burned alive by the Manua people. Papa was angry with the people of Manu’a and left with his two sons to Upolu then ended up marrying our great great grandma Anna Sieni of Lona Fagaloa. Uncle James went to Tonga by way of Fiji so anyone with the last name Brown in Tonga are our direct relatives.

    • Nice to meet you Joseph. Very interesting history. Very sad to hear about the death of John, James and Margaret. you mentioned Papa Alex left with 2 sons. Did they have any names?

  12. Sorry let me clarify aunty Margaret was the oldest daughter of Papa Alex Brown who was burned alive by the Manu’a superstitious people. Aunty died without any children as she was young when she died. Uncle James went to Tonga by way of Fiji and uncle John was brought to Upolu with Papa and he was raised by the Su’a family. My Nana Salageka was the oldest of the girls from the marriage to great great grandma Anaseini of Longa Fagaloa. We have met some of uncle Johns great great grand-children here in the US and we are planning a family Reunion and if you are in the US then keep in touch and you are welcome to join us.

  13. Hello Family, I am the 4th generation of Tafiau Su’a Brown, daughter of Anasieni and Alexander, my email jerdaniel1@hotmail,com

    • Is his son Lagali Su’a Fa’aalualu? ‘Familysearch’ says he’s the son but no father record provided.

  14. Hello, so i’ve done some ‘familysearch’ and found that Ann Bain is my 7th great grandmother, who is the mother of John Alexander Brown. I’m from the lineage of Anasieni Anaaleava Fesolai, his other spouse. Record says they have 14 children and one of the daughters, Tafiau Brown is married to a Fu’a Su’a? which they have 9 kids. I’m trying to find out who’s the father of Lagali Su’a Fa’aalualu or if he’s her (Tafiau Brown) real son if anyone knows about this I’d like to find out more of my family history, Thanks

    email: rinatagaloa00@gmail.com

    • The name of AJBrown’s mother!!!.We have her name.

  15. There were “lame dogs” in government offices.
Many substitutes and appointed actors even writers were warned to stay away from writing the.truth about Alexander John Brown.

  16. Legal papers and signatures can be falsify by
the lame dogs. We have Alexander John Brown’s signature and his.mother’s name.
Alexander John Brown is the original Tui Manu’a who had a.sailing royal yacht. Whom above the king would bestowed him a title except Queen Victoria of the British Empire. Above all is Jehovah God the Almighty.. ALOHA
